a FUNdraiser for the Alzheimer's Association
Saturday, June 7th 2025
Qualifications: noon-2 pm
Tournament Bracket Schedule posted at 2:30 pm
Tournament: 3-6:30 pm
Pre-qualifications: Friday, June 6th from 5:30-7:30 pm
at the Corvallis Foundry- 257 SW Madison Ave Suite 210 (2nd floor), Corvallis

Bounskee is fun and easy to play. The best way to describe it is like a cross between Skee-Ball® and Beer Pong without (requiring) the beer. Basically, you're shooting (or bouncing) ping pong balls at holes for points. More event specific details below.
If you don't know much about Bounskee, you can learn more here
We would love for you to compete, but there are other ways you can show your support, as well.
We are looking for sponsors to help fund the event (donations and some services). There are some cool tiered rewards for different sponsorship levels so check them out! All proceeds will be collected by Mid-Willamette Valley Walk to End Alzheimer's.
We also decided to make things more exciting and raise more funds with a pledge-a-thon! If you know someone signing up, consider challenging them to perform their best by pledging a penny or few per point they will score at the event (which could range from less than 100 to 2,500 points or more).
Bounskee bouts are exciting to watch, but there will also be other fun activities for participants and spectators to engage in. Benchwarmer's is having a concurrent event with vendors and we will have a free play area so there will be plenty to do! Come out and show your support!
Better yet, be a baller and sign up now to compete for the cause!
Disclaimer: One minor rule has changed since the last tournament. Not super important.
Important Event Details
$25 to enter the competition. Sponsorships also each include one entry.
Advanced registration is greatly appreciated!
Prizes:
When you’re having a good time with good people for a good cause, everybody wins! But there are some cool prizes for the top 3 competitors.
Grand Prize: The Bounskee Deluxe Set used for the tournament including a 1-of-a-kind trophy backboard with the tournament logo on one side and the word “champ” engraved on the other.
2nd Place: A Bounskee Deluxe Set including a 1-of-a-kind trophy backboard with the tournament logo on one side and the other side designating 2nd place.
3rd Place: A 1-of-a-kind Bounskee trophy backboard with the tournament logo on one side and the other side designating 3rd place (Bounskee not included- compatible with all Bounskee game sets except Bounskee Slots).
Qualifications:
A high score contest preceding the main event will determine who will compete in the tournament. Each entrant will have one official chance to take 10 consecutive shots and determine their score. Only the top 16 highest scorers in the qualification round will move on to the double-elimination tournament (a tie for 16th will be resolved immediately before the main event if necessary). Qualifications will happen on-site at Benchwarmer's from noon-2 pm and also the night before at Corvallis Foundry from 5:30-7:30 pm. It is recommended to show up and put in your score early in case turnout is high. Once your score is in, you are welcome to check back and see where you stand, but the official results and tournament bracket schedule will be posted at 2:30 pm- 30 minutes before the start of the main event.
Tournament:
This will be a 16 person double-elimination tournament. That means that once a competitor loses 2 bouts, they are out of the tournament. It will take 30 or 31 bouts to determine the champion. The bracket will be randomly seeded by drawing the names of the 16 qualifiers. See the blank bracket schedule here
The official bout rules are as follows:
- A coin flip will determine who shoots first in round 1.
- Each round consists of 5 balls per competitor.
- Competitors alternate who starts each round and shoot all 5 balls before their opponent.
- The higher score in each round wins that round.
- The first competitor to win 3 rounds wins the bout.
- All balls must be shot from the playing distance which will be marked.
- Balls can be bounced on the table or shot directly for the holes.
- On the rare occasion when a ball might stop to rest before going through a hole: If a competitor has any remaining shots, they can attempt to knock it into a higher value hole. Otherwise, it counts as 10 points.
Pledge-a-Thon:
Each person who registers to compete is encouraged to participate in the pledge-a-thon. There will be a special prize (still TBD) for the competitor who brings in the most pledge and/or donation money (which will be determined after the tournament based on scores). Each participant can download and print (or pick up at the Corvallis Foundry) a pledge-a-thon form before the event. Pledges can be made per point scored by the participant during the event or as a flat donations. Participants who don't advance beyond the qualification round will likely only score 100-200 points. Most who advance will score between 500-1500 points. Some who do well will likely score over 2,000 points. 3,000 points scored during the tournament by any competitor is not likely, but possible. Therefore, pledges of a penny or few per point are something. A nickel is even better. Pledges of a dime or more per point could add up to hundreds of dollars if the pledgee performs well in the tournament.
