Rules and Scorecards

Official rules may change over time. This page will be updated as changes occur.

Update History:

8/12/2024

Classic Bout Rules were changed. The original rule regarding tied rounds (repeat the round with 1 less ball) has been removed. Henceforth, when a round is tied, move on to the next round. The winner is still the first player to win 3 rounds, but now there may be more than 5 rounds in a bout. If using a scorecard, just start a new scorecard when you continue past round 5- player names switching sides to keep with the alternation of who goes first. The reason for the change is to simplify scoring and statistics.

Universal Rules

and Setup Recommendations

  • Factors such as the quality of balls and the height and hardness of the table will effect your experience. Bounskee is best enjoyed indoors since ping pong balls are vulnerable to wind.

  • Ping pong balls come in different qualities. We recommend 3-star ping pong balls.

  • Place your Bounskee on a table with at least 12 inches of bounceable space in front of the ball return. Ideal table height is about 30".

  • Mark your playing distance (ex. line of tape on the floor). The playing distance is defined as the distance away from the Bounskee backboard. There are different recommendations for the various versions. The recommendations will be used for official Bounskee events, but can be adjusted at your discretion for casual play or to compensate for table height, etc.

  • For all Bounskee games, bouncing on the table is OPTIONAL. Some players prefer to shoot directly for the holes. Your playing style is up to you.
